The Town Council of the Town of Converse will hold a Public Hearing on September 27, 2021, at 5:15 PM. The Public Hearing will be to consider a Grant County’s Local Income Tax change. The rate change will reduce currently certified shares from 1.30% to 1.18% and increase the Public Safety rate from 0% to 0.12%. This tax structure is being considered to fund Grant County Central dispatch. Anyone wishing to voice their opinion may have the opportunity to speak. After the close of the Public Hearing, the Town Council will consider the subject matters presented.

The Converse Airport Board and the Town of Converse, Indiana are requesting bids from serious, responsible bidders to cash rent the approximately one hundred eighty-five (185) acres of farm ground located at/about 9245 E. State Road 18, Converse, IN 46919.

On Monday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a meeting at the Carvers' Club (101 S Jefferson Street) where applicants will be allowed to speak about themselves. The seat appointment will be made afterward. The Town of Converse is accepting bids for the Bordermen Crossing Subdivision.

Beginning January 7, 2021, recycling pick-up for Converse will be switched to totes. Republic Services will be delivering the new totes at the end of December. Residents are welcome to keep their old recycle bins, or if not, please put the old recycle bin in the new toter, and Republic Services will take it away.
