Converse has always been a family-oriented community and has done its homework to raise the educational level with a students to teacher-ratio of 16 to 1.
Converse can recall the days when the horse drawn carriages were a necessity. The horse still plays a part in the community but has changed its role to the exciting past-time of harness racing.
Converse has a work-hard, play-hard philosophy. Basketball, carnivals, horse racing are just a few of the happenings to suit the adventurous personality.
Converse is known as a shop-dine-play community with the neighboring communities enjoying the festive atmosphere of the annual Converse fair, including great entertainment, delicious food and thrilling sport activities.
